Overview

 

The Social Media Intern is responsible for supporting Piada’s social media strategy by managing editorial calendars, contributing to content production, assisting with brand photo shoots, leading content creator partnerships and passionately bringing fresh, innovative goal-oriented strategies forward to the Marketing team.

 

The ideal candidate has a passion for building community in the digital space, thrives in a fast-paced environment, is in touch with up-to-date news & pop culture events, is highly creative and able to meet deadlines and service levels consistently with a high level of integrity.

 

This is a part-time internship. Hybrid role with in-office time in Columbus, Ohio.

 

We're looking for someone who is excited to collaborate in person and can join us at our Columbus Piada Support Center office on a regular basis.

 

Responsibilities

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborates with Integrated Campaign & Brand Manager on monthly content calendar
  • Actively contributes innovative strategies to drive engagement & meet guest acquisition goals in the digital space 
  • Responsible for responding and engaging with guests across Piada’s core social media channels: Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, Threads and LinkedIn
  • Posts owned content to Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Threads, Facebook and LinkedIn channels
  • Works collaboratively with Integrated Campaign & Brand Manager on copy, photo & video production and digital content creation for all social media channels
  • Collaborates on content shot lists with Integrated Campaign & Brand Manager and coordinates photo shoots with local restaurant operations teams
  • Assists Integrated Campaign & Brand Manager with photoshoots, contributing to food styling & prop setup
  • Reports out social media analytics and current trends on a weekly basis, making recommendations based on data to meet department goals
  • Leads influencer marketing strategy, identifying short-term and long-term partners that are brand-aligned, on-budget and within project scope
  • Leads influencer management efforts, coordinating all influencer partnerships from start to finish, negotiating contracts, restaurant visits, content creation and payment
  • Other projects to be assigned as needed
  • Moderate travel required within the state of Ohio
  • Occasional nights and weekend availability required

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

 

  • Junior or Senior level college student with a focus in Marketing, Journalism or Strategic Communications
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Twitter best practices
  • Experience creating engaging video content for Instagram Reels and Tik Tok
  • Strong interest in photography, video and content creation
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve and think strategically
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and tools
  • Ability to have an open-mind and willingness to share ideas
  • Experience with in-person events, Guest service, Adobe Creative Suite, social listening and community management preferred
