We are looking for highly motivated team members for day, weekend and evening positions who are excited to deliver excellent food and an outstanding Guest experience. 

 

Position Summary:

 

This position assists with the development, execution and support as it relates to ideation, cooking, creating, testing, procurement of equipment and goods, discovery, implementation and follow up of food and beverage for the brand. Adheres to the highest product quality standards set forth by the Company. Ensures safety and cleanliness standards are maintained.

Responsibilities

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support all aspects of Culinary Services that include recipe revisions/development, internal and external training, presentations, quality assurance, product development, industry functions and internal events
  • Collaborate on food sourcing, supplier relationships, and ensure high-quality ingredients at competitive prices
  • Develop and deliver culinary training internally and externally to ensure consistent execution of recipes and cooking techniques
  • Assist in the recipe development and testing including recipe generation, costing, testing, and documentation support
  • Oversee and maintain inventory of products, equipment, China, glassware, etc. for R & D Kitchen
  • Maintain sanitation and safety best practices in R&D Kitchen
  • Adhere to strict measurement and recipe guidelines while cooking a variety of products on various pieces of equipment including sauté, grill, fryer etc. for recipe development/testing and weights & measures
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen including refrigerators, freezers, dry storage, and equipment involving a daily and weekly cleaning schedule of all areas of the kitchen
  • Support culinary food presentation for showings and photoshoots
  • Works with vendors to manufacture products in commercialization effort
  • Partners collaboratively with Training, Operations, Finance and Marketing
  • Stay updated on culinary trends, competition, and guest feedback to introduce creative ideas that keep the menu fresh and relevant
  • Experiment with innovative techniques and ingredients while maintaining the brand’s core identity
  • Validates calorie counts for all menu items and adhering to compliance
  • Handles the receiving, organizing, and the inventory of shipments of any product samples for proper testing
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Culinary program is preferred

  • 3-5 years experience in a from scratch kitchen
  • Ability to lift around 50lbs
  • Up to 25% travel
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft products including Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience and knowledge from a multi-location national restaurant chain preferred
  • Theoretical understanding and practical application of culinary principles
  • Capable of creating a prototype product from an idea to executable culinary items
  • Well-developed sense of taste, aesthetics, and value-drivers in food

Competencies:

  • Creativity: Ability to identify problems and create new, innovative solutions
  • Strong Culinary Expertise: theoretical understanding and practical application of culinary principles
  • Operations Experience: Familiarity and comfort with the level of Operational talent and capabilities with the QSR category. Can design products that are appropriate
  • Financial Acumen: has experience in food costing and estimating proforma recipe costs
  • Consumer Driven Process: Embraces consumer feedback as key milestones in process
  • Communication Skills: Able to communicate professionally in both written and verbal form while adapting message to suit level of audience
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, organize and complete multiple projects efficiently and on time; ability to design, implement, and analyze primary research and work with minimal supervision
